We just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year. We hope it’s safe, and full of great shows, great friends, and great music!

I would like to thank Nightmare Of You, All Grown Up, Show Me Action, Rendezvous With The Kidnappers, and Myriad for coming out to the show last night and playing amazing sets. I also wanted to thank the Greenport Legion Hall for allowing us to use their building, and being so supportive. Also I wanted to thank Mayor Dave Nyce for coming out to the show.

I also wanted to thank the handful of you that actually came to the show without complaining.

The show last night was extremely disappointing to say the least. From technical difficulties, to the complaining about the rules, to the fact that no one showed up. It was the most disappointing shows I have ever done. Period.

I understand things are different from the shows at the Peconic Rec Center; admission is a bit more expensive, and things are a little stricter at times. But none of that really should have been an excuse for the horrible attendance last night. when a little more then 50 people show up to see a band like Nightmare Of You, that’s just sad.

Because of the poor attendance Joe and I are taking a break from this. There is no way in hell that we can keep doing this. And it really is sad because it means that you guys are going to be missing out on a lot of amazing shows that we had been working on, like This Is Hell, Scream Hello, and more.

It’s truly unfortunate too, a lot of bands had been looking forward to coming out and playing for you guys, and I know a lot of people were looking forward to playing more shows in Greenport. I also know from some of the people that I spoke to, that they were looking forward to seeing more larger bands out here.

Joe and I both love putting shows together. But last night was the first night were we both hated it. The only real saving grace of the night was the face that all the bands we such amazing people, that no matter the turn out had a great night.

Maybe a new year, will bring new shows. But for right now we’re done.

Nightmare Of You is playing the Greenport Legion Hall today. Doors open at 5pm, and tickets are available at the door.

We also quietly released Danny Rocco’s live album “Unplugged In Mitchell Park this past Tuesday (10/21/08) so if you are interested int hat head over to your store and grab it.

“Danny Rocco Unplugged In Mitchell Park” will be released on October 21st, 2008!

“Danny Rocco Unplugged In Mitchell Park” is a live recording Danny’s first performance in Mitchell Park. Recorded on August 21st, by Joe Capuano, the intimate acoustic performance opened a memorable night of live music.

This also marks the first album recorded entirely in Greenport’s historic Mitchell Park!

Danny Rocco will be preforming on October 25th, 2008 at the Greenport Legion Hall with his other band Show Me Action. They will be preforming with Long Island’s own Nightmare Of You. Tickets are available online at www.takebackproductions.com/store

Take Back Productions is proud to announce two new records!

The first is a compilation CD entitled “Take Back Productions Presents: Killing Time Vol. I” which will feature new tracks from Warren, Myriad, All Grown Up, and more as well as live tracks from Danny Rocco and more! Plus many other new, unreleased, and rare tracks from a slew of other artists. You can expect that to hit in mid October. The exact date will be announced shortly.

Then we have “Danny Rocco Unplugged In Mitchell Park” which is a live ep recorded during Danny’s performance at the free show we did in Mitchell Park this past August. Featuring four tracks, and a guest appearance by Jack from Show Me Action, “Danny Rocco Unplugged In Mitchell Park” is hopefully the beginning of a new series of albums for us. Look for this in Late November. And don’t forget to pick up Danny’s Oort Records debut “The Future Is Now” on November 4th. Not only is the album amazing, but the artwork was done by Pat.

And please don’t forget to purchase tickets for Nightmare Of You at the Greenport Legion Hall October 25th, 2008. We wouldn’t want you to miss the show because tickets were sold out. It’s going to be a lot of fun for us, the bands, and you guys. So make sure you have your ticekts now!
